LEADERSHIP

Leadership Board

Our Leadership Board is the body responsible for leadership and governance, encompassing the responsibilities and functions of the Church Council, Staff Parish Relations Committee, Finance Committee, and the Board of Trustees. Recommended by the Nominations Committee and approved by the annual Charge Conference, Leadership Board members serve three-year terms.

Nominations & Leader Development Committee

Chaired by the Senior Pastor, the Nominations Committee is responsible for creating a leadership development pathway that identifies, develops, deploys, evaluates, and monitors new and current lay leadership.  The Nominations Committee recommends members of the Leadership Board and the Nominations Committee itself for approval of the Annual Charge Conference.

Safe Gatherings

Safe Gatherings is a process developed to train and certify persons as safe workers with children, youth, and vulnerable adults.  This online abuse prevention program screens and educates staff and volunteers to help prevent abuse.  When employees and volunteers are trained about best practices when working with vulnerable populations, know the behaviors of potential abusers, recognize the signs of abuse, and know how to handle reporting, they are better equipped to prevent abuse.

Upon successful completion of the Safe Gatherings application, background and reference checks, and online training program, each applicant will receive documentation of approval valid for three years and will have continued access to the online training program for one year.  Please visit safegatherings.com to begin the process.
